VNX Exchange participated as a special guest in a series of events on digital financial assets held in Moscow.

As part of a series of events in New York, San Francisco, Singapore and the Bloomberg Conference on October 11 in Luxembourg, last week VNX Exchange took part as a special guest in a series of high-profile events in Moscow dedicated to the future of financial markets and digital assets.

 

The events were attended by VNX partners – Luc Frieden, former Minister of Justice and Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, Member of the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, Chairman of the Executive Board of BIL (Luxembourg’s largest bank), and Karl Pardaens – Partner of Elvinger Hoss Prussen (a Luxembourg law firm – VNX Exchange legal adviser); heads of top international digital financial platforms: Rikiya Masuda, Head of the European headquarters of bitFlyer, Japan’s largest crypto exchange and Andy Bryant, COO of the European headquarters of bitFlyerKristof Van de Reck – President of NEM, one of the largest blockchain platforms in the world; Zing Yang – Member of the Board of Directors of Litecoin; and Radu State – Head of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, University of Luxembourg.

 

Together with the members of the Working group on digital financial assets (DFA) and representatives of leading Russian and international financial companies were discussing current trends in state regulation of DFAs in key jurisdictions, investment tools to provide wealth manager access to DFAs, and ways of transforming traditional assets into DFAs.

Round table on digital financial assets

On September 19, Alfa-Bank, Russia’s largest private bank, hosted a round table of the Working group on digital financial assets. The round table discussion gathered representatives of top financial institutions, such as Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, National Settlement Depository, VTB, VEB, Gazprombank, ADDCAPITAL, PwC, Deloitte, ALTHAUS Group, Group IB, AG Ventures, and a number of investment companies.

 

Speakers included Luc Frieden, former Minister of Justice and Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, Member of the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, Chairman of the Executive Board of BIL (Luxembourg’s largest bank), and heads of top international digital financial platforms, including VNX Exchange, bitFlyer, NEM, and Litecoin.

The Working group members were in particular interested in prospects of VNX Exchange, a Luxembourgish trading platform. Alexander Tkachenko, Founder and President of VNX Exchange, Vladimir Khanumyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNX Exchange, and Dominique Valschaerts, Member of the Board of Directors of VNX Exchange, former Head of the Brussels Stock Exchange, took part in a discussion about new opportunities for VC industry that the new platform will offer to investors, VC funds, and institutional investors.

Conference “Digital Financial Assets: “Trends, Regulation, Solutions”

On 20 September Moscow Exchange hosted a Conference on the future of financial markets and the state of  regulation of digital financial assets. The speakers included Sergey Polikanov, Executive Director, Sberbank CIBLuc Frieden, Anton Govor, managing director and head of strategy at Moscow Exchange, and heads of bitFlyer, Luxembourg University, NEM, and Litecoin. One of the keynote speeches was a presentation by Alexander Tkachenko, Founder and CEO of VNX Exchange, who talked about the prospects and digital transformation of the VC market through the VNX platform.

VNX Exchange to List AddCapital Venture Fund’s Assets Worth $20 Million

At the conference held at the Moscow Stock Exchange, the venture capital fund ADDCAPITAL announced an agreement with VNX Exchange to list the fund’s assets worth $20 million.

 

Official reception at the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Moscow

An official reception was held at the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the Russian Federation in honor of  the Luxembourg guests of the Moscow events. The reception was attended by representatives of Russian businesses and top Russian financial institutions, and heads of international companies and associations, such as NEM, Litecoin, bitFlyer, LHoFT, and Infrachain. The guests were welcomed by Jean-Claude Knebeler, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Russian Federation, Luc Frieden and Alexander Tkachenko.

Luxembourg as a launch pad for entering European markets

On September 21, at an event at Skolkovo Technopark (Russia’s largest innovation hub), organised by Luxinnovation (Luxembourg’s national agency for research and innovations) and the Skolkovo Foundation, Dominique Valschaerts, Member of the Board of Directors, VNX Exchange, spoke on the support given by Luxembourg to innovative companies, citing VNX Exchange as an example. A special guest of the event was Jean-Claude Knebeler, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Russian Federation, who delivered a welcome speech.
