Luxembourg-based VNX Exchange is joining forces with Sumsub, a scalable solution for KYC/AML regulatory compliance, to stay in line with growing jurisdictional demands and ensure compliance of its platform.
As the fifth EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD5) gains its full power in January 2020, new regulatory demands of due diligence and AML will come into place, influencing the compliance and reputations of all the major fintech players in the market.
VNX Exchange is a Luxembourg-based digital assets issuance platform with a forward-looking approach and thorough risk management and compliance framework. In order to satisfy current and forthcoming regulatory requirements and stay ahead of the game, VNX searched for an automated KYC/AML and crypto AML solution that would ensure both high compliance standards and a unique client experience.
Partnership with Sumsub will allow VNX to build in a digital bank-grade KYC/AML service into its platform. Sumsub automated compliance as a service platform provides a risk management toolkit for AML and ready-to-use processes for compliant KYC/AML, KYB and crypto AML procedures, satisfying the demands of AMLD5, and of regulators such as FATF, FCA, European Central Bank, etc.
The necessity of the fully automated KYC system has proved its importance, especially with the rise of interest to VNX platform followed by the growing flow of clients after the launch, and the announcement of the first offering backed by investments in Streami, Inc. (owner of top Korean crypto exchange GOPAX and regulated national crypto depository service DASK). Implementing Sumsub onboarding flow has allowed VNX to accelerate customer onboarding with a simple, engaging, 60-second process. The system has the most innovative digital KYC functionality, such as AI-based identity verification and biometric and liveness checks, as well as a screening against blacklists and global third-party databases.
The solution is integrated into the VNX platform, and allows VNX compliance officers to customize and automate the workflow with an intuitive dashboard/risk management toolkit. VNX compliance officers are able to set and change rules according to their AML policy, produce regulatory and audit reports, manually re-check suspicious profiles, and track analytics—while remaining fully compliant.
“VNX Exchange is very serious about all aspects related to compliance and investor protection. For these purposes, we are leveraging the benefits and advantages of innovative compliance systems provided by Sumsub to create a seamless client experience and open access to the new class of liquid digital assets backed by venture capital investments,” said Alexander Tkachenko, CEO and Founder, VNX Exchange.
“AMLD5 is soon to gain full power and influence among all financial entities in Europe with reinforced AML demands. With many clients based in Luxemburg, such as JobToday, Wecan Group, etc., we see the demand for compliance and anti-fraud measures, and know how to ensure them. VNX is a serious and mature project, with founders and management from traditional well-respected foundations, so we are happy to provide them with a high-level solution, optimizing compliance under the Luxembourg regulations.”—Jacob Sever, Co-Founder of Sumsub.
