Description of the position and its work tasks

Financial Controller is responsible for undertaking all aspects of financial planning and management and reports to CFO. A successful candidate would be expected to have extensive experience in corporate accounting, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting and development of internal control policies and procedures.

Financial Controller job description contains the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee various accounting operations
  • Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting
  • Produce financial statements as requested
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and adhere to policies and procedures

Requirements to the candidate, years of experience, skills, etc.

  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • ACCA, CMA or similar professional qualification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Expensive experience with creating financial statements and general ledgers
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English is a must, proficiency in German is an advantage
